Treatment: Yorvipath
This was an amazing day! It was my first solo trip since being diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism in 2019. I hadn't been able to even consider leaving my house for a few hours, much less travel by plane, until I started Yorvipath in 2025. I decided to take myself to Joshua Tree, California, and it was a deeply spiritual and transformative experience. Through my hypoparathyroidism healing journey, I've learned that my thoughts create my reality, so I go to great lengths to maintain a positive and hopeful mindset, navigating each day with intention. On this day, I took several short walks around Joshua Tree, did some sightseeing and shopping, and was able to socialize for short periods. Although I ran out of spoons early and often, I have never been so grateful. I look forward to many more days like this because I'm worth it.

Happiness is finally having a World Hypopara Awareness Day Global Event. Thank you. It's a good day for the entire hypopara community.

I'm having daily bladder pain. I have had what is being called a UTI for a year but no bacteria. Number prescriptions of antibiotics, yes more meds but they are doing nothing because it's not bacteria. I personally think I have interstial cystitis from build up of calcium on bladder from when I was taking multiple calcium pills and calcitriol. I can't wait to find out even though I dread cystoscopy.

I was playing piano at my Grandma DuRands funeral. I had bad seizure a couple days before. During while I was playing piano. When I had my first visit at NIh a year later. Dr. Karen Winer found out I was severely deficient in Vit d3(oh25), 1,125 hydroxy as well. Once they straighten me out. I only had one seizure after that. My family had no clue how bad I was the day of my Grandma DuRands. Thanks to Dr. Karen Winer for accepting me into her study! I think I even had a seizure during playing to! Three months on Yorvipath and I finally had a day where I forgot I had hypopara. That's never happened in 10 years.

Had a calcium crash at work today. My coworkers don't understand why I suddenly can't think straight. Grateful for this community.
Went hiking with my family this weekend! Something I couldn't imagine doing two years ago. Small victories matter.
The brain fog has been relentless this week. Reading Bari's columns reminds me I'm not alone in this fight.
